Police ask public to help locate missing 12-year-old girl

LOWER MERION, P.a. (WTXF) - Police are asking for the public's help in locating missing 12-year-old Sydney Garcia-Yao.

Officials say Garcia-Yao was reported missing from her residence in the 100 block of Stoneway Lane in the Bala Cynwyd area of Lower Merion Township on Wednesday.

Investigators describe Garcia-Yao as 12-years-old, 5'7" with waist length brown hair and around 130 pounds.

Officials say she left her residence between 12:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Police have reason to believe she willingly left her residence and could have a white, Schwinn bicycle with her.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Garcia-Yao are urged to contact police.
