Police: Body of 73-year-old man found in Delaware Canal

WASHINGTON CROSSING, Pa. (FOX 29) - Police say the body of a Langhorn man was found in the Delaware Canal Thursday morning.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of Taylorsville Road shortly before 10:30 a.m. after receiving calls about a man in the water.

Police pulled the body of 73-year-old Leland Smeltz from the water. According to authorities, Smeltz had been fishing.

Investigators do not believe there was any foul play involved, but the Buck's County Coroner's Office is working to determine the cause of death.
