Police: Bystander struck by gunfire after argument in Kingsessing
KINGSESSING (WTXF) - A woman was rushed to the hospital early Thursday morning after police say she was struck by gunfire in Philadelphia's Kingsessing neighborhood.
Police say the shooting happened sometime after midnight on the 1700 block of South 55th Street.
According to investigators, three men were arguing in the area when one of them pulled out a gun and opened fire.
The 51-year-old woman was shot in the neck and leg and is believed to have been an innocent bystander. She was taken to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center where she remains in critical condition.
There is no word on any arrests at this time.
