Police: Child's body recovered from pond in Southampton, NJ

Southampton Twp., N.J. (WTXF) - Police say a child's body was recovered from a pond at a mobile home park in Southampton, New Jersey.

Police were called to the area of 35 Estates Drive for a missing child around 11 a.m. Friday.

According to police, when they arrived they found a child matching the description given to police floating in a pond near the home.

The child was transported to Virtua Mt. Holly and was pronounced there. Officials have not released how the child died.

The investigation is ongoing.
