Police: Gas station argument leads to drawn handgun in Del.

MAGNOLIA, Del. (AP) - A Delaware woman has been charged with brandishing a handgun after police say an argument at a gas station escalated.

Delaware State Police charged 24-year-old Shaniqua Saunders of Dover with aggravated menacing, reckless endangering and possessing a firearm during commission of a felony. She was arraigned and released on $30,000 bail.

Police say the confrontation occurred Thursday night outside the Happy Gas station in Magnolia. According to police, Saunders and another 24-year-old woman got into an argument inside the Happy Gas. Saunders walked out of the station into the parking lot.

Police say the argument resumed in the parking lot and Saunders drew a loaded 9mm handgun and pointed it at the victim.

A friend of the victim intervened and disarmed Saunders before police arrived.
