Police: Girl, 16, critical after accidental shooting in Kingsessing

KINGSESSING (FOX 29) - A 16-year-old girl is in critical condition after police say she was accidentally shot in the hand and neck in Philadelphia's Kingsessing neighborhood.

Around 1 a.m., officers were called to a home on the 5600 block of Whitby Avenue, where they found the victim inside the house.

The victim was transported to Presbyterian Hospital, where she is listed in critical condition.

Police say multiple juveniles were inside the house at the time and no adults were home.

All of the juveniles were taken in for questioning.

No weapon has been recovered at this time.
