Police identify man wanted in connection with Hatfield Township sex assault
HATFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTXF) - Police in Hatfield Township have identified a man they say was involved in a sexual assault back in June.
The incident occurred in the early morning hours of June 8 on the 2100 block of East Vine Street.
Police say a woman was walking home when she was sexually assaulted. Investigators have now identified Oscar David Amaya-Salmeron, 28, as a person of interest.
Salmeron is described as 5'9", approximately 160 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his right arm and the right side of his chest.
Police say Salmeron's whereabouts are currently unknown, but he may be working in a roofing or construction job.
Salmeron is facing a number of charges including rape, sexual assault, and unlawful restraint.
