Police investigate assault at Berlin Park
BERLIN, NJ (WTXF) - People in Berlin Borough are being urged to be vigilant after an assault in Berlin Park on Thursday morning.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Berlin Borough Police Department report the victim was a woman in her 20s. She was running in the park at about 9 a.m. when a man assaulted her from behind. The victim was able to escape from the attacker and lock herself in her vehicle until help arrived.
Police have only described the man as a white male at this time. No further description has been given.
They say detectives are actively investigating this matter.
Berlin Park is between the White Horse Pike, New Freedom Road and Park Drive in Berlin Borough.
