Police investigate car fire in North Philadelphia
NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a car fire in North Philadelphia.
You can see what's left of the Ford Focus near 18th and Dauphin, near Temple University in North Philadelphia.
It happened at about 5:20am. A witness told FOX 29's Lauren Johnson she woke up to a loud explosion, and then saw bright red lights and lots of smoke.
For now, police are saying, it's being investigated as a fire, not as a bombing. The 43-year-old victim was able to go to neighbors for help before being rushed to Temple University Hospital.
