Police investigate double shooting near Strawberry Mansion

Strawberry Mansion (WTXF) - Two men are in the hospital after being shot while sitting in a car.

Police say it happened just after midnight Saturday near 30th and Fontain St.

According to police, both men were shot in the leg. One was taken to Hahnemann hospital, and the other was taken to Temple Universtiy hospital.

"Apparently both males were sitting in a car when they were approached by at least two other males who opened fire on the car. We found on the highway an access of 30 shell casings and then the males fled," said Lieutenant Anthony Buchanico, an officer on scene.

Both men are in stable condition. No arrests have been made.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
