Police investigate hit and run in Fairmount

FAIRMOUNT (WTXF) - Police in Philadelphia's Fairmount neighborhood are investigating a hit and run that occurred early Thursday morning.

Medics responded to the scene where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle aroud 7:50 a.m. on the 1600 block of Vine Street.

Authorities say the victim was transported to Hahnemann Hospital in unknown condition.

The driver fled the scene.
