Police investigating Old City sudden death

OLD CITY (WTXF) - A man suddenly died early Thanksgiving morning in Old City.

The incident occurred on the 300 block of North American Street at 4:01 a.m.

Police responded to the area for a report of an unresponsive male on the highway. When they arrived they found paramedics performing CPR on a 24-year-old victim.

The victim was taken to Jefferson Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:46 a.m.

Police say at this time, nothing appears to be suspicious, however the cause of death is pending the results of the autopsy.
