Police: Man, 21, burglarizes home, flees on scooter
HARTLEY, Del. (FOX 29) - Delaware State Police say a man burglarized a Kent County home and fled the residence on a stolen scooter.
According to authorities, the owner of the home on the 5700 block of Halltown Road told troopers that a plastic bin containing coins and a scooter was missing from his home.
Police say several witnesses spotted the alleged burglar exiting the home carrying the bin and fleeing on the scooter.
After an investigation, police arrested Cameron T. Carper at his home on the 5100 block of Halltown Road.
Authorities say they recovered the scooter and coins that Carper allegedly took from the home.
Carper has been charged with second degree burglary and theft. He was later released on $5,500 bond.
