Police: Man, 33, dies after being shot twice in North Philadelphia

Police say a 33-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday afternoon in North Philadelphia.

Authorities are searching for a shooter after a young man was gunned down in North Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon, according to police.

Officers were called to the 1800 block of Oxford Street just before 5:30 p.m. for reports of gunfire. Police say a 33-year-old man was found shot in the chest and waist. 

Emergency medical responders took the victim to Temple University Hospital where he died, according to police. 

Investigators have not said what sparked the deadly shooting.
