Police: Man Pulls Gun on Officers in Kensington
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) Police say a man pulled a gun on police during an arrest on A Street in Kensington.
It happened shortly before 7 p.m. Friday.
Police say officers saw an illegally parked vehicle next to a fire hydrant. The driver was acting suspicious while being questioned and ran, according to police.
Officers chased the driver and apprehended the him. Police say the driver fought with police and while subduing him, he pulled gun. Officers and suspect wrestled to the ground when a gun was pulled out
Both officers and the suspect fell to ground and one of the officers broke ankle. The officer and man were taken to Temple where they are in stable condition.
Police say the man had a loaded 40 caliber semi-automatic. The suspect has been charged with carrying firearm and resisting arrest.
