Police: One man hospitalized after shooting in Northeast Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting in Northeast Philadelphia that hospitalized one man.

Police were called to the 1400 block of East Cheltenham Avenue on a report of a shooting Sunday afternoon.

After they arrived, police discovered a 27-year-old man shot on his left side.

The victim was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center. The extent of the man's injuries were not reported.

Police say the investigation is active. No weapon has been recovered and no arrests have been made.
