Police: Person of interest in custody after woman stabbed inside SEPTA station

Police are investigating after a woman was stabbed multiple times at a SEPTA Station in North Philadelphia on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred on the 2700 block of North Broad Street at approximately 1:30 p.m.

According to authorities, the woman was stabbed several times in the head, neck and back.

She was taken to Temple University Hospital and is currently in critical condition.

SEPTA transit police say they have a person of interest in custody.
