Police pull over shooting victim who was driving himself to the hospital

A 30-year-old man is in critical condition after police say he was shot in the mouth in Fern Rock.

Philadelphia police say they came across the victim around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night when an officer saw him driving erratically before running over a sign outside of Einstein Hospital.

Officers tried to pull the victim over as he drove himself to the hospital, and when the man got out of his car police realized he had been shot.

The officer drove the man the rest of the way to the emergency room.

Police have not yet said where the actual shooting occurred, but the passenger side window of the victim's car was shattered.
