Police release sketch of suspect in violent Norristown robberies
NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WTXF) - Police in Norristown have released a sketch of a man they say has violently attacked and robbed as many as five women in recent days.
According to police, the serial attacker has been targeting women, especially in the west end of town.
The suspect approaches the women from behind, throws them to the ground, and then robs them, according to police. Five of these violent attacks have taken place in just one week.
Norristown Police Chief Mark Talbot says the aggressive attacks happen extremely fast and are usually over in less than two minutes.

Chief Talbot says his department is especially concerned because they feel this man is more focused on using his force against his random victims than actually trying to steal from them.
Police have now described the suspect as a black male with light to medium complexion, standing roughly six feet tall.
