Police release surveillance video in North Phila. shooting that injured 23-year-old

Police have released surveillance video in a North Philadelphia shooting that left a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The incident took place on August 29, 2016 at 1:54 p.m. in the area of 19 th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue.

When police responded to the scene, they found a 23-year-old male on the 1900 block of Oxford Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound to the back and chest. He was taken to Hahnemann Hospital.

Surveillance video taken from the scene shows an unknown black male approaching the victim from the 1700 block of Gratz Street to the 1800 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue, then to 19 th Street armed with a handgun.

According to police, when the victim and witness were on the 1600 block of 19 th Street, the suspect approached the victim from behind and fired multiple times into his back.

After the shooting, the suspect ran in the same direction he approached from. Both suspects were last seen walking north on the 1700 block of Gratz Street and may frequent the area.

The first suspect is described as a Black male, 20 years-of-age, 6'0", beard, wearing a baseball hat, black shirt, black shorts, and armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is described as a Black male, 20 years-of-age, 5'8", wearing a baseball hat, blue shirt, and shorts.
