Police: Rhode Island man arrested in Delaware with body in trunk of car

Police say a Rhode Island man was arrested in Delaware with a body in the trunk of his car.

A family member of 23-year-old Jassy Correia broke down in tears after being asked by reporters in Boston about her body reportedly found in Delaware.

"They say she died but I don't know what happened," cried the woman. Boston police tweeted Thursday evening that 32-year-old Louis Coleman III had been found and arrested in Delaware and that a body was found.

SkyFOX flew over the area of Churchman's Road and I-95 in New Castle County where the suspect was pulled over after a chase.

Our sister station in Boston reports Correia's family has confirmed her body was found in the trunk of Coleman's car. This comes just days after her father pleaded for help finding her. She had been missing since leaving a club in Boston over the weekend. Family members say she was out celebrating her birthday.

"Anybody seen my daughter or have the information about my daughter because I want my daughter back. When I bring Jassy to this country she's three years old. Now, she's 23. I can't lose Jassy for no reason," said her father, Joaquin Correia.

Coleman lives in Providence Rhode Island. Investigators there searched his home Thursday afternoon saying he was last seen on surveillance video in the area where he lives.

"There's a lot of combing of the area for surveillance footage for canvassing of other neighbors of other businesses in the community of other incidents we may have had here in Providence," said Colonel Hugh Clements. Police did not say if any evidence was found inside Coleman's home.

Family members of the victim say she has a 2-year-old daughter.
