Police search for man accused of stealing donation jar at Lower Nazareth Walmart

Lower Nazareth, Pa. (WTXF) - Police say a donation jar with money that was to go to children was stolen from a Walmart in Lower Nazareth, Pa.

"It seems heartless and ridiculous, especially around the holidays." Nancy Williams is appalled to learn someone allegedly stole a donation canister for the Children's Miracle Network from this Walmart store in Lower Nazareth, which is near Allentown.

She cannot help but think of the many children in need.

The Colonial Regional Police Department released surveillance pictures showing the suspect in action just before 3 a.m. in the morning on October 23rd. Police say the canister was taken away in a car driven by a second person and was smashed open before the money was taken at a park in Hanover Township.

Walmart shoppers we spoke with say the brazen theft is the latest sign of troubling times.
