Police search for suspect involved in West Philadelphia robbery

Police are looking for a suspect who they say is responsible for robbery at a West Philadelphia MetroPCS.

Officials say the incident happened Wednesday around 9 a.m. at a MetroPCS store at 5601 Vine Street in West Philadelphia.

Police say an unknown man entered the store and after a few minutes pulled a black handgun and demanded money from the employee working behind the desk.

After complying with the suspects, the employee gave him an unknown amount of money. The suspect then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

If anyone has any information about the robbery, please contact police immediately.
