Police searching for attempted bank robber in Harrowgate

Philadelphia Police and the FBI are searching for a man responsible for the attempted robbery of a bank in Harrowgate on Thursday.

The incident occurred at the TD Bank located at 2267 East Butler Street at 1:30 p.m.

Police say the man entered the bank and verbally demanded money from a teller. Shortly afterwards, he fled the bank empty-handed.

The man is described as a black male in his 30s, 5'10", with a thin build and a goatee. He wore a light gray short sleeve t shirt over a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, sunglasses, and a dark-colored baseball cap.

He is considered armed and dangerous.
