Police Searching For Suspects In West Mount Airy Attempted Home Invasion

Detectives are seeking the public's assistance in identifying multiple suspects wanted for their involvement in an attempted home invasion in the West Mount Airy section of Philadelphia.

The incident occurred late Tuesday night around 10:30 a.m. on the 500 block of Burnham Road.

Police say a 32-year-old male was inside of his home, when an unknown black male knocked on his front door.

The resident checked his security camera and determined he did not know the man at the door. He then attempted to identify the man by slightly opening the front door.

Once the door was opened a second suspect approached the door armed with a shotgun.

The video shows the resident quickly shut the door, as all four suspects then enter the frame an attempt to make their way inside the home.

Unable to get inside the home, all four men fled the area.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, and no belongings were taken.
