Police searching for Walgreens robbery suspect in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are looking for a man after they say he robbed a Walgreens last week in West Philadelphia.

The robbery took place last Friday just before 8:00 p.m. at a Walgreens located at 300 North 63rd street.

Police released surveillance video showing the man entering the store and pointing a gun at the cashier. After investigators say he took nearly $700, the suspect quickly fled in an unknown direction.

Police say the man is 5'7" with a medium build and was last seen wearing all black. If you see this suspect police say to not approach him and to call 911 immediately. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Philadelphia Police.
