Police use Facebook to find a burglary suspect in Wilmington, Del.

Police were able to use Facebook and social media followers to find a suspect in a burglary case.

New Castle County Police responded to a home burglary report on Mitchell Drive June 6.

The incident happened during the day and officials later posted photos of the suspect to their Facebook page on Tuesday.

Officials captioned the photos with this statement:

"Detectives from the New Castle County Police Criminal Investigations Unit were able to locate surveillance video of a suspect driving in the area. The Criminal Investigations Unit is seeking the public's help in identifying the owner of this vehicle. The vehicle looks like a silver or white 2002-2005 Saturn Vue with distinctive damage to the front passenger fender. The subject driving should be a white male."

With the help from the New Castle County Facebook and Twitter followers, the detectives were able to locate the vehicle and apprehend the driver, 37-year-old Mitchell Hubis on Thursday.

Hubis was charged with burglary, theft, and other related charges.

Hubis and is currently being held at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $14,000 secured bail.
