Police warn of counterfeit money being circulated in Bucks County
BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. (FOX 29) - Check your money. Police say a man is passing around counterfeit money in Bucks County.
Crafty criminals are branching from the city to the quaint historic villages and boroughs of Bucks County like Doylestown and Newtown.
Newtown Township police say a man was flashing bogus money at an area store last week. He used fake money to pay for beer and wine at the Acme and pocketed the change, according to investigators.
Police believe the same man walked into the Pet Valu, but a hawk-eyed clerk caught the phony bill and turned it down.
