Police: Woman sought after vehicle break-ins in Chester County

Police in Chester County are investigating a string of thefts from cars outside a local baseball facility.

Investigators are now asking for the public's assistance in tracking down the suspects. FOX 29's Joyce Evans spoke with some of the victims about the damage done.

Sam Long walked out of her place of work at the All-Star Baseball Academy and Penn Oaks Fitness Center, in Thornbury Township to find her truck window smashed.

"I thought it was a joke and then I saw the extent of the damage and realized it was real," Long recalled. She soon realized her purse, credit cards, and driver's license were gone- taken in broad daylight.

Police say as many as four other people had their belongings taken from their cars in the same parking lot between November 2 and November 18.

Investigators have released surveillance footage of a woman they say has used the stolen credit cards and IDs to purchase gift cards at a local store.

The same woman allegedly attempted to cash stolen checks through bank drive-thru lines in a rental vehicle bearing a stolen registration plate.
