Prosecutor: Shooting during pursuit in NJ murder probe kills 1

MILLVILLE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a shooting during a police pursuit in a murder investigation in New Jersey has ended with the suspect dead.

The Cumberland County prosecutor's office said the shooting in Millville at about 9:10 a.m. Saturday involved a Millville officer and two officers from Winslow Township in Camden County.

Officials said the suspect was declared dead at Inspira Hospital and hasn't yet been positively identified. An autopsy is pending.

Prosecutors said the suspect was being sought in a murder earlier in the day in Winslow Township. Cumberland County prosecutors are investigating with the Camden County prosecutor's office assisting.
