Public school serves green, mold-covered cream cheese
Muncie, Indiana (STORYFUL) - Two seniors at Muncie Central High School in Muncie, Indiana shared a vile photo of an individually packaged cream cheese opened to show the top covered in thick, green mold.
The photo was taken by Isaiah York and posted on Facebook by his friend Quinesha Pointer on March 7. Pointer wrote, "It's suppose [sic] to be cream cheese."
According to a report, the cheese was still within the expiration date when opened, and a food service director threw away all of the other cream cheeses as a precaution.
Dianna Choate, director of food services at MCS, said her staff called the manufacturer as soon as they saw the package. The cheese arrived at the school in individual, sealed packages and was within the expiration date, she said.
The photo of the disgusting cheese has been shared almost 500 times since Pointer shared it.
