Public viewing held for fallen Trooper Sean Cullen

A public viewing was held Sunday afternoon for fallen New Jersey State Trooper Sean Cullen.

The viewing will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church located at 2500 Branch Pike in Cinnaminson, New Jersey from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Cullen's funeral will be held on Monday at 12:00 p.m., also at St. Charles Borromeo.

"Sean Cullen fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a New Jersey State Trooper," said Colonel Rick Fuentes, Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police. "Sean was quickly recognized as an outstanding trooper by both his supervisors and peers. His family will forever remain a part of the State Police family."

The 31-year-old trooper was struck by a car while he was on the scene of a car fire along I-295 in West Deptford. He succumbed to his injuries hours later. Trooper Cullen fulfilled his life-long dream of joining the state police two years ago. He served before that on the Westhampton and Mount Holly police departments.

Trooper Cullen is survived by his fiancee, a 9-month-old son, his mother and father as well as two brothers and a sister. His brother is also with the State Police.
