Purdue Athlete Buys Little Girl Surprise Birthday Gift

We couldn't be more proud of the type of young men and women in our athletics department. #BoilerUp

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN (WXTF) A college couple was walking through Target and noticed little Kinley admiring a doll. She was shopping for prospective birthday gifts with her mom.

The young man, a freshman Purdue football player named Tario Fuller II, asked her which doll in particular she had wanted. When she showed him the doll they both smiled and laughed about it and then went their separate ways.

But then Kinley noticed the young man walking off with the doll she wanted.

Kinley asked her mom where the doll had gone, but her mom told her not to worry, they would find something else.

The young man came back a few minutes later and handed Kinley her dream doll that he had purchased for her, saying, "Happy birthday, enjoy."

Kinley's mom, Megan Shufflebarger, wrote an Instagram/Facebook post about the random act of kindness praising the young man's generosity saying, "What a reminder to never lose faith in humanity and to be generous and pay it forward. To this generous and humble young man, whoever you are, I hope you see this and more importantly, I hope you know what a good young man you are."

Purdue athletics shared her original post saying, "We couldn't be more proud of the type of young men and women in our athletics department."

According to reports, the doll was for Kinley's 3rd birthday.
