Rain or shine, Race for the Cure kicks off in Philly

Runners flooded the Art Museum of Philadelphia Sunday morning for the Susan G. Komen's Race for the Cure.

In its 28th year, the race aims to raise awareness about breast cancer and offer support to survivors.

According to the non-profit, most of the funds raised stay local to the Komen Philadelphia Community Grants program and other breast health initiatives in its 15-county service area.

Those traveling in the area should expect detours.
