RECALL: Wegmans Recalls More than 1,100 lbs. of Chicken

Wegmans Food Markets is recalling more than 1,100 pounds of chicken that went un-inspected before hitting stores in six states, including Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The USDA's Food and Inspection Safety Service announced the recall Tuesday, for items produced on January 3 rd .

1,125 lbs. the chicken products were produced and distributed without undergoing federal inspection. The products were shipped to store locations in Maryland, Massachusetts , New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

The products subject to recall bear establishment number "EST. or P-7567" inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to distribution and retail locations in Maryland, Massachusetts,

There have been no reports of illness related to consumption of the products.
