Rescuers Use Crane to Save Dog Trapped Down 100-Foot Well
(INSIDE EDITION) - A scared pup trapped in a well was brought to safety when dedicated animal lovers rescued the pooch using a crane and some clever thinking.
Good Samaritans in India were surprised to hear the cries of a scared dog coming from the depths of a 100-foot well, a video from Animal Aid Unlimited showed.
The stray had tried to climb the well's walls, but its structure was crumbling, making it impossible for the animal to escape on its own and unsafe for a person to be lowered down using a rope.
Instead, a brave rescuer strapped himself to a crane and descended down into the well to come to the aid of the trapped pup.
After some coaxing, the canine went to the man and allowed the rescuer to put him into a net so that he could safely be brought back up to the surface.
The pup was taken to the rescue organization, where he's on the mend and doing well.
