Search continues for robber that struck the First National Bank of Newtown

The Langhorne Borough Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public's assistance to identify and locate an individual responsible for the armed robbery yesterday of the First National Bank of Newtown branch located at 201 South Bellevue Avenue in Langhorne, Pa.

At approximately 1:41 p.m. on Friday, the suspect entered the bank. He was brandishing a handgun as he approached a teller and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot.

This subject is also believed to be responsible for the September 6th robbery of a TD Bank branch in Gloucester Township, N.J. and the August 31st robbery of a TD Bank branch in Rockaway Township, N.J.

Police describe the bank robber as a white male, approximately 5'3" tall, stocky build, with sores on his face and arms. On Friday, he was wearing a black short-sleeve t-shirt, shorts, sunglasses, and a baseball cap - white in the front, dark-colored in the back. He also had on a black backpack, and wore a black glove on his left hand.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about these robberies or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject's capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
