Second suspect charged with murder in death of Pottstown woman

Authorities say an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old have been arrested and charged in connection with a home invasion that left a woman dead in Pottstown.

According to investigators, 18-year-old Aaron Taylor is charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder, robbery, conspiracy and possessing an instrument of crime. 17-year-old Camren Williams was previously charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and possessing an instrument of crime. The homicide charge was added Friday. Authorities say Williams will be tried as an adult.

Officers responded to a home on the 300 block of North Washington Street on November 18 after a security alarm was triggered at the residence. When police arrived on the scene, they found 38-year-old Sylvia Williams dead on the floor of a second-floor bedroom. Investigators say she had been shot.
