Shelter animals evacuated from South Carolina shelter ahead of Hurricane Florence

A dog rescue organization based in Nashville, Tennessee has taken in the animals at Pawleys Island animal shelter based in South Carolina ahead of Hurricane Florence.

Big Fluffy Dog Rescue shared photos on Facebook of the animals rescued from Pawleys Island on Monday showing a total of 21 dogs and 15 cats packed in their crates ready for the move. The post included links to websites where people could donate money, supplies and applications to foster animals.

The rescue shelter workers shared an entertaining post on Tuesday with an update about how the animals are taking the move writing, "If looks could kill, several of the cats wished me directly to perdition last night. The Chihuahuas have not yet decided that we are worthy of their fond regard."

Big Fluffy Dog Rescue also shared images of the empty enclosures left in All 4 Paws Animal Rescue to reassure followers that all the pets in need had been taken out of harm's way.
