The brother of the man shot in the face and killed, early Monday, now faces charges in that crime including murder.

Philadelphia police said at about 2:45am Monday, officers responded to a radio call for a report of a "person with a gun" in the 2800 block of S. 7th Street.

They found Craig Giangrante, Jr., 28, in a second floor rear bedroom and he'd been shot in his head.

He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead soon after.

Tuesday, police said his younger brother, 26-year-old Carmen Giangrante has been charged with third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter and possessing an instrument of crime.

Police have not revealed a possible motive or details on what led them to the victim's brother.

Monday, they had said a weapon was found at the scene.
