Shots fired as police arrest 2 robbery suspects, seek third in South Philly

A manhunt is under way in South Philadelphia this morning after police say robbery suspects pointed a gun at officers during a chase.

It all began around 3 a.m. near 12th and Bainbridge streets.

Police tell us they were giving chase when a group of robbery suspects ran into a home under construction near Juniper and Kater streets.

That's when one of the suspects allegedly pointed a gun at police and officers opened fire. We're told no one was hit.

Two suspects were caught, and two guns were recovered.

Police are still looking for the third suspect and another gun.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley has been reporting on the situation all morning long. He says police may be guarding as many as a dozen different scenes as part of this chase and has more details in the video report above.
