Some free parking nights ending in CC, Old City

CENTER CITY (WTXF) - The Philadelphia Parking Authority says it is ending free parking for Wednesday nights in Center City and first Fridays in Old City.

A lot of people who come downtown to enjoy the city are disappointed.

The PPA started putting flyers on cars and just made the official announcement yesterday.

The PPA says ending the promotions will increase parking opportunities, and says the Meter-Up App has made it easier for folks to pay.
