South Philadelphia homeowner says woman stole package off porch

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) A South Philadelphia homeowner says a woman stole a package while his surveillance camera rolled. His wife was just feet away. He posted the video to social media and started to uncover clues about the alleged thief.

According to homeowner Larry Aliberti, on Tuesday, April 12 shortly before 5 p.m. a package containing a car stereo worth $400 was delivered to his home on Passyunk Avenue.

The homeowner says his wife, Rose, was able to open the door after the driver left the box between the doors and move it as best as she could into the house. She proceeded back into the house to get a broom to bring the box fully into the house.

According to the homeowner, that's when a female with several other packages started walking past their house stopped, walked up the ramp, opened the door, and allegedly proceeded to take the box. The homeowner says she walked off like nothing happened.

After posting the video on Facebook, others came forward saying it happened to them. If you know the woman seen in the surveillance video, please contact Southwest Detectives.
