Spokesperson: Court clerk fired after plea to Meek Mill discovered
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia government officials have fired a court clerk. They say they discovered that she had asked rapper Meek Mill to help pay for her son's college tuition.
The clerk told TMZ she passed Mill a note at his sentencing hearing asking for help and she thought Mill would look favorable on her request since they were both from Philadelphia.
A city spokeswoman confirmed the city fired the clerk saying court employees should never infringe upon the neutrality of the courtroom.
