St. Joe's student shot during attempted carjacking blocks from campus

Police are searching for two suspects who fled in a minivan, after taking the victim's keys, but not his vehicle.

A St. Joseph's University student has been hospitalized after police say he was the victim of an attempted carjacking Wednesday morning.

Police say the 21-year-old student was approached by a black Dodge Caravan just blocks from the university's campus on the 2000 block of Upland Way around 1:30 a.m.

Two masked suspects got out of their minivan, and allegedly tried to steal his keys and car as he got out of his car.

Police: Potential carjacking injures St. Joseph's University student

Police are looking for a suspect after they say a student was injured in an attempted carjacking.

When the students tried to fight them off, police say one of the suspects hit him in the head with a handgun.

Two shots were then fired at the student, hitting him in the knee, according to police. He was transported to a local hospital where he is said to be in stable condition.
