Stallone: 'Creed II' is 'probably' Rocky Balboa's last rodeo
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - After more than 40 years, Sylvester Stallone says Creed II might be Rocky's last rodeo on the big screen.
Since 1976, Rocky Balboa has graced the big screen in six movies, in more than a dozen bouts and two spin-off films.
Stallone took to Instagram to say that Rocky's story has been told. He told fans Rocky would never die "because he lives in you."
"I am reposting this because there was a technical difficulty. I just want to thank everyone around the whole wide World for taking the Rocky family into their hearts for over 40 years. It's been my Ultimate privilege to have been able to create and play this meaningful character. Though it breaks my heart, sadly all things must pass... and end. I love you Kind and generous people, and The most wonderful thing of all, is that ROCKY will never die because he lives on in you ...." Stallone wrote.
Creed II is in theatres now and has already surpassed the first film's debut.
