Starbucks rolls out delivery service for coffee drinkers

Starbucks has announced it will be expanding its delivery services across the country, including in Washington D.C.

The coffee giant said the delivery service would launch in San Francisco on Tuesday and expand to D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and New York in the coming weeks.

The announcement comes after Starbucks experimented with delivery services in Miami in the fall.

The delivery service is in partnership with UberEats and will be available at about a quarter of the company's 8,000 stores in the U.S.

About 95 percent of Starbucks' menu is offered when using its delivery service and a booking fee of about $2.50 is applied when ordering.
