Student involved in hazing investigation found dead on campus

A TCU student arrested earlier this year for hazing was found dead on campus on Thursday in an apparent suicide.

Andrew Walker, 19, was found on a sidewalk in the 3000 block of Greene Avenue, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner. Fort Worth PD said Friday that Walker likely committed suicide.

Walker and another young man were arrested in September on hazing charges involving the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Pledges allegedly were forced to drink large amounts of alcohol. One freshman reportedly became drunk enough that he had to be taken to the hospital.

The chapter was suspended from campus by TCU and the fraternity's national office.

TCU officials said they were saddened by Walker's death.

"We are a small campus community and a death among our Horned Frog family wounds us all. We send our heartfelt thoughts, prayers and condolences to the family in this difficult time," the school said in a statement.
