Student with sign performs with Springsteen in Philly

A visiting Texas A&M University student held a sign that pleaded with rocker Bruce Springsteen to share a song on stage, and he had his wish come true right here in Philadelphia.

Matthew Aucoin appeared on Good Day Philadelphia via Skype. His homemade sign said: "Can a college kid play `No Surrender' with you?"

Springsteen noticed the sign during a concert Friday night and had the 19-year-old sophomore from Spring, Texas, come on stage. Aucoin was handed a guitar and the pair began to play and sing with Springsteen's E Street Band.

Aucoin, who got a guitar last year for Christmas, said Tuesday he has been playing every single day since then. The business administration major says he has looked up to Springsteen his whole life.

Later this month, Springsteen will be heading home to start a book tour. He announced a nine-stop tour Monday that'll start at a bookstore in his native Freehold, New Jersey, on Sept. 27. That's the day that Springsteen's "Born to Run" will be released.
