Students Make Walt Disney World Vacation Dream Come True for Cafeteria Worker

FLORIDA (WTXF) Two Elon University students made a cafeteria worker's dream come true by sending her on a fully paid trip to the most magical place on earth.

Students Taylor Zisholtz, who is from a Philadelphia suburb, and Lucy Smith-Williams, met cafeteria worker Kathryn Thompson at the university coffee shop where she works nights. Inspired by everything Kathryn did for the university they decided to do something very special for her.

The two students were able to raise enough money through a GoFundMe to send the cafeteria worker and her family to Walt Disney World. Back in October, a video of them surprising Kathryn went viral. Kathryn broke down in tears at the kind gesture.

Over the weekend, Kathryn along with her son, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons visited the place they always dreamed of.

The trip was truly magical and something the family will always remember. Kathryn and her family met Mickey Mouse at the Magic Kingdom Water Park and even had an emotional reunion with the two students that made this trip happen.
